As the name suggests, Escallonia 'Hedge with an Edge' is perfect for use as a small hedge. This is due to its characteristic glossy, evergreen foliage which looks fantastic year round. In the summer months, you will also be rewarded with a beautiful display of deep candy-pink flowers. This hardy and easy to grow variety is great for creating low borders and hedging. It looks gorgeous along paths, retaining walls and driveways - giving an elegant formal touch to any garden. If using Escallonia 'Hedge with an Edge' for the purpose of a small hedge, plant approximately 50cm apart for a full effect.

Water requirements are low once established. Simply provide an occasional deep soak during periods of extended heat. Apply a slow release fertiliser in early spring for optimum results. A light pruning after flowering is recommended to maintain a neat and tidy appearance, or to prune to a desired shape.
