Hebe 'Snowdrift' is an old time favourite amongst many Australian gardeners.
'Snowdrift' is an evergreen, bushy shrub reaching up to 1.5m in height and width, with narrow forrest green foliage. The tips of 'Snowdrift' open up to white or a very pale mauve flower spikes through summer.
Originally a native of New Zealand, Hebe's are renowned for their tough characteristics being tolerable of a wide range of conditions.
Grows well in most soil types that are well draining.
Prune to shape with hedging shears after flowering to encourage a dense habit.
Feed with a general purpose slow release fertiliser after flowering.
Low water requirements. Once established, quite dry tolerant requiring only intermittent watering during extended periods of heat.
